7.2 magnitude earthquake shakes Japan The epicenter was reported below the Pacific Ocean floor, however; no tsunami alert was issued.

A magnitude 7.2 earthquake has shaken Japan. The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a tsunami alert following the quake. At 06:09 local time, a magnitude 6.0 earthquake jolted Miyagi prefecture with its epicenter in the Pacific Ocean at a distance of 60 km. The Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a tsunami alert
