A huge fire broke out at Ankur International School near Maruti Plaza in Krishnanagar area of ​​the city this morning. Ten vehicles of the fire brigade reached the spot following the incident. 108 ambulances were also dispatched then. There were 3 color work artisans in the school at the time of the incident. However, now all of them have been rescued.

The fire broke out at Ankur International School in Krishnanagar area of ​​the city today. The fire was so fierce that the whole building was engulfed in flames. As the whole school was getting new, color and furniture work was going on in the building at the time of the incident. The fire brigade was called immediately after the fire broke out. 




However, 3 to 4 people working in the building ran to the stairs. And were trapped there. After a 1-hour struggle by the fire team, the fire was brought under control and all were rescued. Residents of the area also climbed on the steps of their flats to witness the tragedy.

Fire Officer Manish Mistry said a message was received in the control room that a fire had broken out at Ankur International School and four children were trapped. Firefighters including Naroda, Odhav Fire Brigade reached the spot and realized that not children but 3 laborers were trapped in the school.



 The fire was then brought under control after an hour of hard work. Three laborers working on painting and furniture were trapped and rescued from the stairs. No casualties were reported. According to the school administrator, the school was closed. The primary cause of a fire may be a fire in a solvent that is applied to the wood as the furniture works.

Regarding the fire incident, Dahyabhai Patel, trustee of the school, said, "The school is still being built, the admission process is going on but the school is not running." No casualties were reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

Notably, a horrific fire broke out 20 days ago during a chemical process at a plastic packaging factory at Phase-4 in the city's Vatva GIDC, in which chemical boilers blew up and took on a monstrous form. More than 45 firefighters were called in to put out the blaze when the fire department announced a brigade call. The fire was brought under control early the next morning.
