In the thriller match of the fourth match of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, Rajasthan Royals lost the match by 4 runs against Punjab Kings. Royals captain Sanju Samson's 119-run innings went under water. He stood at the crease until the last ball, but could not get the team to cross the finish line. His opposite number i.e.

Punjab captain Lokesh Rahul scored 91 runs and Rahul's nervous-90A finally beat Sanju's glamorous century. Apart from Sanju and Rahul's individual innings, the entire match was played in such a way that the Indian players dominated every department, while the foreign giants remained in the shadows. match, Indians scored 356 runs at a strike rate of 185+, while foreigners scored only 67 runs at a strike rate of 131+. The Indian players also shone in the bowling department. The Indian bowlers took 9 wickets at an economy rate of 10.17, while the foreign players took only 4 wickets at an economy rate of 11.88.









Major record of Samson's name
Sanju plunger has become the first player in the first match of the century as captain of the Samson Indian Premier League history. Chasing 222, he played Captain Knock and almost single-handedly won the match for Rajasthan. He hit 119 off 63 balls with the help of 12 fours and 7 sixes.

The final ball saw the Royals need 5 runs when Sams hit a big shot, but was caught out on the boundary. His innings was so glamorous and special that Sanju was selected as the Player of the Match despite Rajasthan losing the match.

During the batting, Rahul played one-on-one amazing shots.


Punjab captain Lokesh Rahul sold his innings in two after batting first after Kamal Lajwab Rahul lost the toss earlier. Anchor Rahul and Aggressive Rahul. His focus was on rotating strikes when needed and he also showed off his aggressive form by hitting the bowlers all around as if the opposing team was gaining rhythm. Rahul scored 91 off 50 balls with the help of 7 fours and 5 sixes.

Hooda's domineering batting
Deepak Hooda, batting fourth for Punjab, gave momentum to the Kings' innings with his tumultuous batting. He hit fifty off just 20 balls and hit 64 off 28 balls with 4 fours and 6 sixes. Deepak's contribution was crucial as Punjab managed to score a bigger than batting first.

Sakaria was the first wicket-taker in the league by dismissing Mayank Agarwal.

Arshdeep and Sakaria
were also the individual top wicket takers of both the teams in the 3-3 wicket fast match. Chetan Sakaria, playing his first match in the IPL, bowled a very impressive 31 runs in 4 overs and took 3 wickets. He was accompanied by Lokesh Rahul, Mayank Agarwal and Z. Richardson assembled the pavilion. While Arshdeep Singh from Kings also took 3 wickets. He was followed by Manan Vohra, Shivam Dubey and most importantly in the final ball of the game - Sanju Samson's wicket was fast. He gave up 35 runs in his 4 over spell.

Foreign players
