The bus, traveling at high speed from Delhi to Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh, overturned amid increasing cases of Kora transition and lockdown. There were more workers than the capacity of the bus. Three workers were killed on the spot and 15 others were injured in the accident. The accident took place on Tuesday morning near Jourasi Valley on Jhansi Highway in Gwalior. No further details were immediately available. The passengers in the bus jumped out of the window and saved their lives.

They were returning due to the imposition of lockdown in Delhi. The lockdown was
announced in Delhi on Sunday. Due to this, the MP's Chhatarpur resident laborers who had been working there for several months had started leaving for home. Around 2 pm on Monday, about 100 laborers along with their families left for Chhatarpur by bus. Many workers were traveling on the roof of the bus. Two of them were hit by a bus and died on the spot.

Children and women jumped down from the overturned bus. Many of them have been injured. He has been hospitalized.

The villagers broke the window glass and rescued the people. The
people around reached the spot and started rescuing the people. They also informed the police. Before the police arrived, the villagers smashed the window panes to evacuate the injured passengers. Some of the injured were treated on the spot, while others were shifted to Dabra and Gwalior for treatment. Eight workers were seriously injured in the accident.

The bus was then lifted by a crane to remove the bodies from under it. The main cause of the accident was said to be overloaded passengers. According to sources, the 52-seater bus was carrying more than 100 passengers. All these laborers also paid double the rent.

Ramwati, who was
injured in the accident, said she was working with her husband in a multi-storey building in Delhi. They also have 2 children living with them. The family had to return home on foot in a lockdown last year. After Diwali, they came here again for employment. But they returned in the sense that the situation would not be the same as before the imposition of lockdown in Delhi.

Ramavatar, a resident of Chhatarpur, was working as a laborer on a sewer project in Delhi. The laborer was informed by the owner that a lockdown was being imposed here again. As a result of last year's bitter experiences, he also decided to return to his hometown by this bus with his family at 2 am. The laborer was asleep at the time the accident occurred.
