Green Village Country:Mumbai-based Kutchis planted 1,200 trees in Kamar Kasi village, will now make a garden

Deshalpar is a green village in Rapar taluka near the Pakistan border
50 lakh was spent by Mumbai villagers for the development of the village with a population of 2000



The Kutchis of Mumbai have spent about Rs 50 lakh for the development of Bidu Japi village to make the countryside of Rapar taluka on the border of Pakistan green.



Deshalpar Yuva Jagruti Mandal-Mumbai was formed with the name of making Deshalpar with a population of 200 a paradise. 1200 trees were planted in 2019 with the joint efforts of Mandal and Gram Panchayat, Forest Department with the spirit of doing something for the village. A water festival has been constructed near the main gate at Deshalpar Patiya. An asphalt road of 2 km from Patiya to the village has also been constructed in collaboration with the Mandal. 2 km Two men have also been hired for the upkeep and maintenance of the trees planted in the area. A grant of Rs 2 lakh was allotted from the Forest Department for tree planting. Mandal President Lakhman Rajabhai Bhushan has been honored with Udyogpatiratna Award by the village.





Mandal Minister Ranchod Davda said that a garden would soon be constructed in the village at a cost of Rs 5 to 7 lakh. About Rs 50 lakh has been spent so far for the development of the village, including planting trees, cages and three main gates. Mandal vice presidents Parbatbhai, Ambabhai, Walji Bera as well as Hareshbhai, Govindbhai, village sarpanch, members etc. are cooperating.


Being a sensitive area, the 24-hour Border Security Force ( BSF) patrol is located near the Pakistan border in the country. The 24 hour wear is being filled by Jawano. In addition, the personnel of the nearby Balasar police station are also on constant patrol.
