Heavy winds and rains lashed most parts of the state, including Ahmedabad, on Tuesday, causing temperatures to drop in most parts of the city. The maximum temperature in Ahmedabad dropped by 10 degrees and the minimum by 5 degrees. However, the meteorological department has forecast heat wave in the state, including Ahmedabad, after the next two days of cloudy weather.

The
meteorological department has forecast that after May 21, most parts of the state will experience heat waves again. In some areas, including Ahmedabad, the temperature may rise to around 5 degrees. People will be disturbed by the scorching heat after the cloudy weather. Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Botad and Bhavnagar received heavy to very heavy rains in the last two days.

According to the meteorological department, 6 inches of rain and strong winds lashed Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Following this, the maximum temperature in Ahmedabad on Wednesday fell 10.2 degrees below normal to 31.7 degrees while the minimum temperature dropped by 4.9 degrees to 22.2 degrees. Due to which, the city has been experiencing chilly weather since early morning. There will be blue skies over the next two days, followed by a gradual increase in heat.
