A curfew was imposed in 36 cities in Gujarat from 8 pm to 6 am as corona cases were on the rise. Corona is now coming under control and the number of cases is declining on a daily basis.

 The night curfew in 36 cities of the state has been extended from 9 pm to 6 am. People have been given an hour’s relief in the curfew. Curfew will be enforced in 36 cities of the state from 9 pm to 6 am. The new rules will come into force from tomorrow.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Care Committee chaired by the Chief Minister on Tuesday evening, dispelling speculation that a lockdown would be implemented across the state. 7 cities have been added to the cities with night curfew to prevent the spread of Corona infection. This was already a night curfew in 28 cities, including 8 metropolitan areas. The state government said that during the controls, essential services such as grocery stores, vegetables, fruits, medical stores, milk parlors, bakeries and food shops were ordered to continue.

The limit of 50 persons for marriage and 20 persons for funeral has been kept unchanged. Government, semi-government, private offices will be able to continue with 50 per cent staff. The public bus service will run with 50 per cent passenger capacity. The hotel-restaurant will be open from 9 am to 8 pm but will only offer takeaway and home delivery.

Construction related activities will continue during which COVID-19 related guidelines will have to be strictly followed.
During this period, the bank management will have to ensure that the money supply in the ATMs is maintained continuously.
All should strictly adhere to face cover, mask and social distinguishing.
Relevant Commissioners of Police / District Magistrates shall issue notifications under the provisions of Cr.PC and Gujarat Police Act for implementation of this order in their jurisdiction
