SBI Alert! You will now have to pay more for this service, only then will you be able to withdraw money for free

State Bank of India (SBI) has recently issued a new notification to its customers seeking a change in the basic savings bank deposit account charges. The new service charges will come into effect from July 1, 2021, on cash withdrawals, checkbooks, money transfers and other non-financial transactions from ATMs.

4 Cash will be charged after withdrawal

According to the new rule, bank charges will be levied after 4 free cash withdrawals. The charge will be levied on both the branch and the ATM.

Simply put, the bank's BSBD account holder will have to pay a service charge for making more than four free cash withdrawals in a month. Customers will have to pay Rs 15 plus GST on cash withdrawals at branches or ATMs.

In addition, account holders will be given only 10 check leave free in a financial year. After that, Rs 40 will be charged for a check book of 10 lakhs. At the same time GST will be charged from the customer. Also, Rs 75 and GST will be charged for a 35-leaf check book. However, in case of emergency check book, Rs 50 plus GST will have to be paid for 10 leave. But senior citizens will be exempted from the new service charges on checkbooks. No charges will be levied on non-financial transactions by BSBD account holders at SBI and non-SBI branches.
