To combat the third wave of corona, the center plans to immediately strengthen the health infrastructure. The center will build 50 modular hospitals across the country in the next 3 months, with oxygen supply arrangements with ICU beds. The biggest problem was the oxygen supply during the second wave. According to a Times of India report, these modular hospitals will be built close to existing hospitals. Through this health vr infrastructure facility will be enhanced.

What is special is that these hospitals to be built at a cost of Rs 3 crore will be completed in less than 3 weeks. It will feature ICU, oxygen support and other life support systems. The lifespan of these modular hospitals is at least 25 years. These hospitals can also be shifted in a week at the time of disaster.

According to a report focusing on small towns and rural areas , the project has been initiated by Principal Scientific Advisor K Vijay Raghavan. At present, it will be implemented only in government hospitals. These hospitals will address the lack of health facilities, especially in small towns and rural areas.



"We are in constant touch with states where such hospitals are needed," said Aditi Lele of the Office of the Chief Scientific Adviser. Especially in a state where cases of covid are on the rise. In this we have also approached other partners under corporate social responsibility who can help us in this project.

Hospitals will be built in these cities.
The project will build hospitals in Vilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Pune, Jalna, Maharashtra, Mohali in Punjab. In addition, a 20-bed hospital will be set up in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. In the first phase, such hospitals with 20, 50 and 100 beds will be constructed in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
