A meat-laden pickup tempo overturned during an accident on the Sardar Bridge in Surat

In the case of increasing accidents nowadays, one accident has come up again today. In which the pickup tempo on Sardar Bridge going from Gujarat Gas Circle to Athwagate in Surat city was reversed early this morning. Surprisingly, the tempo is suspected to contain beef.

The tempo collided with the divider at such a breakneck speed that the meat loaves were scattered all over the road. The bridge was closed for a while after the incident was reported to the police with immediate effect.

The driver of the pickup tempo fled the scene after the accident. Officers, including Deputy Commissioner of Police Bhavana Patel, rushed to the spot in the Umra police station area. The fire department was notified and a large quantity of meat was found scattered on the road and was cleared. Legal action was then initiated by stuffing the meat into the tempo.

Apart from this, Vinod Jain, a social worker and Gaushala operator, when he came to know about the incident, reached the spot and tried to take a video. So on the spot he was stopped by the police and knocked down. He also suffered minor injuries. However, no explanation has been given by the police for not allowing him to download the video on his mobile.

There is a lot of anger among the guards over this whole incident. Although it is illegal to slaughter a cow, some people go beyond it and break the law. In addition, more than 150 kg of beef was seized from the guards recently when it was reported that beef was being sold in the Limbayat sweet bay area.

In some areas of Surat, beef is being brought from slaughterhouses and sold. There is resentment among the guards over this. It is necessary for the police to take this matter seriously and stop the cows from being taken to the slaughterhouse and take strict action to stop the sale of beef.
