The HP India Gaming Landscape survey included 1,500 people aged 14 to 40
92% of those surveyed believe that gaming reduces the tension between work and study
84% of people in Tier 2 city and 78% of people in Metro City want to make gaming a career

The number of people in India considering online gaming as a career is increasing. This claim has been made by HP India Company of Technology Field. According to a report released by the company on Wednesday, 90% of people believe that the gaming industry can be a good career option.







The survey report of HP India Gaming Landscape involved 1500 people between the ages of 14 and 40. The survey was conducted in March and April in 25 metro cities in India. The survey took place in 2 phases. It involved 72% men and 28% women. It asked questions to computer and mobile users. These were people who were playing adventure and action games on their PCs and smartphones.

88% of school students want to pursue a career in gaming
According to the report, women in West India and those born between 1990 and 2010 (Gen-Z) were more interested in pursuing a career in gaming. About 84% of women say they want to make gaming a career. The survey covered 80% of men born between 1965 and 1980 (Gen X). 84% of people in Tier 2 city while 78% of people in Metro City want to make gaming a career.





People believe that gaming reduces tension
92% of those surveyed believe that gaming reduces work and study tension. At the same time, reducing stress increases positivity. While 91% of people believe that gaming increases attention and concentration power.

Laptop gaming preferred over mobile
According to the report, 89% of people prefer gaming on PC instead of mobile. About 37% of gamers are leaving smartphones and moving to PC. It includes 70% of Gen X and Gen Z people. While less than 75% of people prefer gaming in laptops.

Lockdown due to increased gaming craze

Customers are choosing the option of gaming for entertainment to connect with the society and reduce stress. People are now moving from mobiles to laptops for gaming.
