Tata has rolled out Nexon's 200,000th unit from its Ranjangaon plant in Pune. Following the COVID-19 epidemic in the country, Tata Motors took about six months to produce 50,000 units of the Nexon. The company launched it on September 21, 2017. Then its ex show room price was Rs 5.85 lakh.

It has received a 5 star rating in the Global NCAP Safety Crash Test. This is the first Made in India compact SUV to get a 5 star rating from GNCAP. Tata Nexon scored 16.06 points out of 17 for Adult Safety. The global agency rated the car's body stable. The car is provided with dual front airbags.
The Nexon is powered by a 110hp 1.5 liter turbo diesel engine. As well, a turbo petrol engine with 120hp power is provided. Both engines are connected with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. After the price hike, its ex-showroom price has gone up to Rs 7.19 lakh.

It has strengthened its hold in India's sub-compact SUV segment. However, in India it competes with Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonnet, Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Nissan Magnet and Renault Kaigar.

This has become Hyundai's most popular SUV. The company launched it in July 2015, and since then its sales figures have been improving. This is the reason why 6 lakh units of this car have been sold now. Earlier, in August 2020, it had crossed the sales mark of 5 lakh units.

Since its launch in 2015, Creta has sold a total of 6,06,743 units in India. Of this, 3,99,787 units of the diesel variant have been sold. The diesel variant of the Creta is selling well in the Indian market compared to other vehicles. The company launched the second generation Creta on March 16, 2020. Since then, a total of 1,39,204 units have been sold by April 2021.
Creta is sold in four variants - EX, S, SX and SX (O). Recently the company has connected a new variant of Creta SX Exclusive. This variant will be placed under SX and its ex show room price is Rs 13.14 lakh.
