Farmers break barricades in Haryana's Panchkula, thousands of farmers leave for Governor House to issue memorandum against agricultural laws

Peasant movement in full swing:







Thousands of farmers in Panchkula marched towards the Governor House on Saturday. These farmers have come from Punjab and Haryana. Their united front is going to hand over a memorandum to the governor to repeal the three agricultural laws. The front said their march would be peaceful, but in some places farmers had also broken down barricades. The peasants broke through the barricades and entered Chandigarh and proceeded towards the Governor's House.

farmers said that the central government has passed three agricultural laws. The prime minister and ministers have been asked to remove it for more than seven months, but no one is listening. The farmers said that the government should immediately repeal all the three laws or else such demonstrations would continue.

Seeing the farmers' demonstration, a large number of police personnel were killed.

In order to maintain law and order in Chandigarh, the movement of common people has been stopped at some entry points.




Chandigarh Traffic Police has appealed to the people to use alternative routes to reach Chandigarh.
Traffic on the road could be affected until 5pm on Saturday due to farmers ’demonstrations.
Traffic on the Panchkula road may be affected till 5 pm in Panchkula.
The Chandigarh Housing Board as well as the Panchkula border have been sealed since 9 am.

Farmers can reach the exhibition site with a tractor-trolley.

A large number of police have been deployed in Mohali.




Advice to use this optional route
People traveling from Chandigarh to Shimla can travel from Siswan Road to Nayagaon, Nalagarh and from there to Shimla instead of going to Panchkula. People coming to Delhi from Shimla can come from Nalagarh to Nayagaon and from Chandigarh to Delhi. People going from Yamunanagar to Panchkula can go to Chandigarh from Barwala via Dera Bassi, Zirakpur.
