Air travel in the country has become more expensive since Tuesday, June 1
The lower limit of travel was increased from 13 per cent to 16 per cent



This news is for you if you are planning to go somewhere. Air travel has become more expensive in the country since Tuesday, June 1, as the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has decided to increase the lower limit for domestic air travel from 13 per cent to 16 per cent. The government has also reduced the capacity limit of flights in view of the increasing cases of corona and the declining number of passengers.

This is the first time since domestic flights resumed on May 25 last year that the government has reduced the flight capacity limit. By December last year it had been gradually increased to 80 per cent. But the Ministry of Civil Aviation reduced the limit from 80 per cent to 50 per cent. This limit has been in effect since Tuesday.

The new lower limit of air tickets
for 40-minute flights has been increased from Rs 2,300 to Rs 2,600, an increase of 13 per cent. Similarly, the price band for 40-minute to 60-minute journeys has been increased from Rs 2,900 to Rs 3,300.

Similarly, the lower limit for a 60- to 90-minute flight is Rs 4,000.
The lower limit for a 90 to 120 minute flight is Rs 4,700.
Lower limit for 120 to 150 minute flights is Rs 6,100.
Lower limit for a 150 to 180 minute flight is Rs 7,400.
Lower limit for domestic flights between 180 and 210 minutes is Rs 8,700.



A Delhi-Mumbai flight ticket will cost Rs 700 more.
After the new rule comes into force, the Delhi-Mumbai flight will cost Rs 700 more than the current fare. The lower limit for Delhi-Mumbai flight i.e. 120 to 150 minute flight will also be Rs 6,100. Currently the fare is 300 to 1,000 cheaper.

The reason for the increase in flight ticket fares is
that the government has increased the fare limit in view of rising fuel prices. The capacity of the travel load factor has also been attributed to the increase in air travel. The second wave saw a drop in the number of domestic air passengers due to a sudden increase in cases of corona transition.

airline service resumed on May 25 last year after a two-month lockdown in Lower and Upper Limit India on Flight Fares . The lower limit and the upper limit were then applied to the flight fare.

Air India passengers can change their travel schedule for free till June 30
and the state-owned airline Air India has given a big relief to its passengers. Air India passengers will be able to change their travel date, flight number, and sector without incurring extra charges to travel to any part of the country. However, this offer is available for travel until 30 June 2021. Under this, the ticket date can be changed once again.
