Travel enthusiasts have ignored the Prime Minister's advice. Prime Minister Modi, while talking to the chief ministers of the northeastern states on July 13, expressed concern over the crowd gathering at the hill station.

Even then crowds of people are gathering in tourism-connected cities across the country. The northeastern state of Himachal Pradesh in particular has the highest number of arrivals. Shimla has been witnessing huge crowds on weekends for the last one month. Police are also cracking down on the fugitives.

One week ago, Himachal CM Jairam Thakur had directed to take action against those traveling without masks. Even after that, people from other states continue to come here to roam. Apart from this, crowds were also seen at many tourist spots in Gujarat, Jharkhand, Telangana and Punjab.

Mall Road and Ridge in Shimla are getting heavily crowded on weekends. Most of the people here are seen walking around without masks.

People from many states are reaching cities like Shimla, Manali in Himachal Pradesh.

A traffic jam was reported on the roads in Mumbai on Sunday. Amid the ongoing rains for the last 3 days, many people went for a walk on Sunday.

Many who reached Jubilee Park in Jamshedpur had to return. No entry is given here without ID card.

Farmers in Punjab's Sissa have long blocked roads. Even the police who arrived to remove them had to return empty handed.
