New and young faces are now taking the place of old and senior ministers from the Modi government's cabinet. If we look at the history of the BJP government, only a few of the faces in the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's government are now part of the Modi government. The biggest and most important name is Rajnath Singh.

Rajnath Singh, who is the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, took charge as the Agriculture Minister in the Atal government. Rajnath Singh was the Agriculture Minister in the Atal Cabinet for a year. After that, when the government was formed under the leadership of Narendra Modi, Rajnath Singh became the Home Minister of the country in the first term and in the second term he has been given an important department like the Ministry of Defense.

Rajnath Singh is the only cabinet minister who has been present from Atal to Team Modi. Apart from that, chief ministers like Abbas Naqvi, Shripad Naik and Prahlad Singh Patel who have been part of the cabinet during the tenure of Atal Sarkar and Modi government. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi became the Minister of State in 1998. While Shripad Naik, Prahlad Singh Patel was a member in the last term of the Atal government.

Ravi Shankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar and Santosh Gangwar resigned yesterday after seven members were ousted in seven years . There were some leaders who were in the cabinet in the Atal government and got a position in the first or second term of the Modi government, but they are no longer part of the team.

Names like Maneka Gandhi, Uma Bharti, Suresh Prabhu, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Vijay Goyal, Anant Geete have been part of both the Atal cabinet and the Modi cabinet.

On the other hand, former Union ministers Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj, Ram Vilas Paswan and Anant Kumar are also in the cabinet. He then got a seat in the Modi cabinet. But now these people are not alive. Apart from him, Venkaiah Naidu has been in both the cabinets. But then he was made vice president in the Modi government. Sumitra Mahajan was a minister in the Atal government. When he was the Speaker of the Lok Sabha during the tenure of the Modi government.

Notably, there were many members in the Atal cabinet who were not included in the Modi cabinet. Big names like LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Yashwant Sinha, Jaswant Sinha, Arun Shourie have not been combined with the new generation.
